Since we released the Picstome Rater back in June, we’ve been quietly working on some major updates to the platform. Our goal with this release is to make delivering work and communicating with your clients smoother and more professional.
Here’s a look at the biggest features we’ve added over the last few months:
1. The Client Link: All their galleries in one place
This was one of the most requested features for client retention. If you have a recurring client (for example, maternity, newborn, and baptism shoots), you no longer need to send them separate links for each delivery.
Now you can share a single client link. From there, they get direct, visual access to all their linked galleries. It’s a much more premium and organized experience for them, and fewer headaches for you digging up old links.
2. PDF files inside your galleries
Photo sessions aren’t just about photos. Often, you need to send extra documents. Now, Picstome lets you upload PDF files right alongside the photos in any gallery.
What can you use it for?
- Attaching a composite with the pictures.
- Attaching a styling guide before the session.
- Sending a moodboard.
Everything stays in one place, so your client doesn’t have to dig through their inbox.
3. Faster, more secure password protection
We’ve improved the flow for password-protected galleries. Now, when a client opens a secure link, the system instantly validates the password before unlocking any gallery assets. This boosts overall security and makes the loading experience a lot cleaner.
4. Dashboard performance boosts
We’ve tweaked the engine under the hood. If you have a ton of galleries, you’ll notice your admin dashboard loads much faster now. We’ve added caching improvements and lazy loading for the gallery list, plus fixed a few minor bugs with link generation when names have special characters.
